This year WEF is holding a joint conference with the organization Cities of the Future from March 7-10, 2010 in order to promote interdisciplinary systems scale exchange of ideas and information.

Jane just completed her 3-year tenure as president of the American Water Resource Association. "Jane's leadership and vision for the organization propelled us forward, refreshing our approach to technical committees, building connections between and among other like-minded groups, and skillfully championing a multidisciplinary approach to water resources management during her tenure as president." Wendi participated in a meeting at The White House to discuss "Improving the Workplace through Smarter Work/Life Policies" representing the National Women's Business Council, which is an advisory panel to the US President and Congress on economic issues important to women business owners. Featured in the meeting were Bioengineering Group's whole-person policies for telecommuting, flexible schedules, exercise in the workday, and wholesome office snacks and meals which support healthy staff and allow them to balance family obligations without guilt and career fear — all while translating into loyalty and profitability.
